yes, this program is really wonderful since it is quite small (25 students representing 30 nationalities) and diverse so its actually international in its classroom culture. as you can imagine, since the course is comparative and quite broad, there is ALWAYS room to incorporate different theories and philosophies of peace education, moral refinement and character building. here is the website for the department just for your refernce: http://www.interped.su.se/education/

I got my first widget at pyzam it is a interactive guest map which allows people to leave messages and a pin is stuck on the map where they are comming from. It is working for me. Not sure why it isn't for you.
The slide show I made at slide.com great site lots of options.
I would love to share teaching stuffs with you. Anything in particular you want to know?
I will upload it to the site if I can...it consists of 3 power points. I need to get the recent versions of the other panelists and then I can send it to you.

I teach preservice and inservice teachers. One of the primary points I make is that one's worldview, one's understanding and acceptance of theories of learning and development, one's selection of methods of classroom practice, and selection of methods of assessment and evaluation are all connected. Every decision a person makes at one level influences all the others.
I have my grad students read an excellent paper on an emerging worldview:
Elgin, D. with LeDrew, C. (1997). Global consciousness change: Indicators of an emerging paradigm. San Anselmo, CA: Millenium Project. http://www.awakeningearth.org/PDF/global_consciousness.pdf
I also have students read a paper I wrote on the movement to a new age of human activity:
Huitt, W. (2007). Success in the conceptual age. Educational Psychology Interactive. Valdosta, GA: Valdosta State University. http://chiron.valdosta.edu/whuitt/papers/conceptual_age_s.doc
Finally, I have students read a paper presenting my views on a framework for thinking about developing the whole person:
Huitt, W. (2004, October 29). Becoming a Brilliant Star: An introduction. Paper presented at the Forum for Integrated Education and Educational Reform, Santa Cruz, CA. http://chiron.valdosta.edu/whuitt/brilstar/chapters/BrilStarintro_single.pdf
and a paper by Elena Mustakova-Possardt:
Mustakova-Possardt, E. (2004). Education for critical moral consciousness. Journal of Moral Education, 33(3). http://chiron.valdosta.edu/whuitt/files/JME_criticalcons.pdf
There is a new paper authored by Darcia Narvaez that discusses neurobiological, psychological, and sociocultural influences on morality and ethics that I will include in the readings the next time I teach the course.
I would be more than happy to discuss any of this with you.
Make a great day.
